Like a lot of the locks I analyzed, this one doesn't assist Wi-Fi instantly; You must set up and configure the involved gateway device. The gateway is a small white box that plugs into a wall socket as many as about 20 toes away and talks into the lock more than a Bluetooth connection. The helpful application alerts you when someone opens the lock.
